Grandma's Kite is a site for parent-teacher-child resources and information about Suzuki music instruction. As a Suzuki teacher, I post information for current and prospective students. For people interested in receiving news of new educational tools and information on my site, I have a mailing list by request only to whom I send such announcements. I do not and will not share my mailing list with advertisers.

I do advertise products for which I design the graphics, and I list other clearly identified advertisers on Grandma's Kite. If visitors to Grandma's Kite follow links to sites where they buy products, I receive credit for that kind of "traffic direction." That tracking is not related to my mailing list and never will be. The company that tracks web traffic referral is CJ, "Commission Junction," of whom I am an affiliate, which means I receive credit when people find commercial websites by following links on my site and make purchases as a result. The sole purpose of this affiliation is web traffic direction as described above.

The tracking is done by means of "cookies," which tell the tracking software if users have clicked directly from Grandma's Kite to a site at which they have made purchases. The process is done by software owned by Commission Junction, http://www.cj.com/, by whom I am registered as a "publisher."
